Parliaments

Make laws about state and territory matters such as hospitals and schools. Australia has 6 state and 2 territory parliaments—1 in each capital city.

Local Councils

Make by-laws about local matters such as rubbish collection and libraries. Australia has over 500 local councils around the nation.
