Do any people live in parliament house?

Thanks for the question Liam. No one lives in Australian Parliament House but lots of people work here!

When Parliament is sitting (meeting) about 4000–5000 people work in Parliament House every day.

Because most senators and members of the House of Representative are away from home when they come to Parliament, they need to arrange their own accommodation. There is no accommodation available in Parliament House. The Prime Minister stays at his official residence, The Lodge.
