If a new law is made, is it added to the Constitution? Or is it put somewhere else?

Thanks for the question Jack. Only laws that change the Australian Constitution are added to the Constitution. Such a change can only be made if Australians agree in a referendum. A proposed change must be approved by the Australian Parliament before it can be put to the Australian people.

All Australian laws, including changes to the Constitution, are listed on the Federal Register of Legislation.
