If you are the Prime Minister, do you still get to vote and if so, can you vote for yourself?
Yes! Under Australian law, it is compulsory for all eligible Australian citizens who are 18 years and over to enrol and vote in federal elections—this includes the Prime Minister!
There is no rule that says you aren’t allowed to vote for yourself in a federal election. Voting in Australia is secret, so we don’t know if the Prime Minister votes for themselves or not.
