What are the buildings or locations that are connected to each level of government?

Thanks for your question! There are many buildings and places associated with the different levels of government; however, each level has a main meeting place.

Australia has three levels of government:

  • federal
  • state/territory
  • local.

The main meeting place at the federal level is Australian Parliament House in Canberra.

At a state level the main meeting place is a parliament in the state's capital city. At a local level the main meeting place is a council chamber.
