3d rendering looking down onto Canberra. Welcome to Canberra, the capital city of Australia, located on Ngunnawal and Ngambri country.
The Australian War Memorial and ANZAC Parade, a long red paved road, is highlighted. Here we can see the Australian War Memorial, with ANZAC Parade stretching out to Lake Burley Griffin and Parliament House beyond.
Shapes made from the planned roads are highlighted. Canberra is a planned city, with its architects using squares, circles, triangles and a lake to connect buildings of national importance and integrate the city within the natural environment.
A triangle shape is highlighted that crosses over the lake. The top of this triangle is Australian Parliament House.

We zoom in over the lake and pause on a rectangular building, the National Library on the bottom right, then on the left the High Court of Australia is highlighted.

Parliament House sits at the top of the National Triangle, which contains some of Australia's most important institutions such as the National Library, the High Court of Australia and Old Parliament House.
We continue up the hill and pause at Old Parliament House. Parliament met here from 1927 until 1988. It is now home to the Museum of Australian Democracy.
Zooming up we see Australian Parliament House within two concentric circles made from roads. Australian Parliament House was opened in 1988 and is designed to serve the nation for 200 years.
Two terracotta roofed sections are highlighted - the House of Representatives on the left and the Senate on the right. It contains 2 chambers - the House of  Representatives and the Senate.
We zoom closer and into the forecourt of Parliament House. These chambers are where Australia's laws are debated, made and changed, and where all Australians are represented.
